I just saw some pics/specs of Sager's forthcoming NP5720 DTR notebook with the new mobile Nvidia 7800 card. d*mn, that thing is nice!!! No prices were mentioned, but the 5720 is the first notebook I've seen that makes me want to dump my desktop for a DTR. It looks a helluva lot better than Dell's XPS 2.

Yea that thing looks pretty bad ass... if I was going for DTR that would definitely be the way to go.

    Tight, very tight!

As I'm sure is the case with most of us, I order a notebook yesterday (literally) and today I read about something that'll be available in a couple weeks that makes me want/wish I'd reconsider.

Oh well, I'll have to play the hand I'm dealt, but that sure is one sexeh sumbish!

Does it have the bright, glossy screen? I couldn't find any indications of this. That's a deal breaker for me since I place top priority on the screen AND the video card combined. :(

From my understanding, the 5720's 17" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen is the glossy type.

Please point me to the source. :)

Does this imply that the UXGA one is not the glossy type? As you can tell by my current comp, I'm all for hi-res screens because photography is a big part of what I do and that requires the largest, best screen available.
