I was just curious if anyone has ordered this product from xoticpc and if you have, have you had any problems or are you extremely pleased?

I was looking up the sager name brand and came across a real flamefest from users who said their sager laptop started busting 2 months after use and then continued to break down. Xoticpc offers a warranty I imagine would cover any problems and great tech support I hear, but If I can avoid having to ship my computer off every 2 months or so I would like too if at all possible :).

I plan on purchasing this laptop sometime next week as I want to do a bit more research before I complete the process.

XoticPC is one of the most reputable vendors.

Many people have ordered and have experienced their amazing service/support.

Read their BBB and ResellerRatings in the Clevo Guide.

BTW, Gophn, that Clevo guide is an excellent thread. Well done. Helped me immensely. Thanks. Will there be an annual update?

i have been working on the overhaul on and off for a couple of months now.

Now that I have some time (a few straight days), I have been busy interviewing many (and I mean many) resellers/vendors to get confirmations and details.

XoticPC has recently just gone past my mini-interview. :)

I recieved my NP5790 from xoticpc.com yesterday and I am extremely pleased.

They packaged it VERY closely so everything was in mint condition when I recieved it. I would also like to add in that they have EXCELLENT customer service. From my experience whether you choose to email or call them, they are quick to reply. Also, Justin from xoticpc.com is a frequent poster on this forum.

About the whole flamewar you mentioned, I think that's very immature of them to say that Sager is a bad brand. Sager and Clevo are very reputable brands.

According to gophn, a laptop can easily last at least 3 years (especially the 5790 considering it's a high-end laptop) but it all depends on how YOU take care of it.

Refer to gophn's guide on how to maintain a notebook and you'll be happy with your laptop for a long time, cheers!

I ordered my NP5790 from XoticPC, and I have been nothing but pleased with them. They respond quickly to e-mails and are readily available by phone. As many people on this forum can attest to, Sager is known for its impressive build quality; from personal experience, these things are quite sturdy. Many people here have had theirs for years without any problems. Breaking down every two months is ridiculous. Whoever told you that was either completely careless about their notebook, or just plain lying.

Thanks guys, i'm glad to see your replies - I should be ordering my laptop next week ^_^

Ya, the post I read wasn't really from a credible source but I wanted to check and get some first hand responses as to their (XoticPC's) reliability.

Thanks again, this forum community has saved my skin regarding my laptop purchase. I have been asking alot of questions this past week or so and i'm very happy that everyone has been extremely helpful. Can't wait to let you all know how I like the NP5790 :p
