Hello owners of the Sager Notebook Sager NP5793/Clevo M570RU-U/M571RU-U notebooks, can you post your gpu temperature when your system is on idle, when your doing light duty stuff and finally when your gaming.
Comparing it with the alienware M15x and heres the stats

    Gaming: 83C-84C

    Idle: 56C-58C

    Light duty: 60C-70C

The M15x first starts out at 56C then within 15-20 minutes it gets up to 87C, then the fans kick in and brings it back to 70C-75C, then it goes back to 83C-84C (this is for gaming), and then sometimes the system will go back up to 87C again and repeat the whole process <-------------- can someone tell me if this is happening to their system or to any of their system and can you also tell me if this is safe and normal for the system (keep in mind this is with the new X30 bios fix for the M15x)

Thanks will give rep to people who post their temp

Sounds a little high for this specific laptop.
I hate to have to say this all the time, but:
1)do you keep the notebook`s back a bit raised?
    2)do you OC?
3)is your laptop next to the wall so that the hot air builds up behind it?

My temperatures should be considered the same as a RU-U,but the CPU temps should be normally lower, since I have the older T7500.
    Gpu idle : 32-33C , Load: 67-68C
    Cpu idle 30-33C/29-32C , Load : 65/66C
Hdd temps idleing in between 45-50, max load temp 57C.

    M57RU-U: 8800m gtx

Gaming (tested so far: The Witcher, Crysis demo, Orange Box): 60-66C

    Idle: 36-37C

Light Duty: 44C (when typing this right now, with some light stuff running in backround)

Fans can be controlled, but this is optional; they kick in right away and go from medium/low noise up to insanely loud as performance has to increase.

Gave you guys some erp, thanks for the swift reply. Yeah very nice temperatures, seems like its cooling real nicely. And eleron911 the gpu isn't overclocked, its flat on the ground and ventialtion is fine.

Maybe the M15x's heat is due to the small frame since its 15.4" notebook compared to the sagers 17" frame? Very impressive cooling system these sagers have. So I should worry about this type of heat on the M15x? or is it normal?

More feedback pelase, giving rep to everyone

    Ooooh,you have the m15x.
Na, it`s ok then. I thought you have the sager :D
Ok then, just raise the back of the notebook a bit so that the air under it won`t get warm, because it`s that air that goes inside the laptop via the fans.
As long as you stay under 95C for the GPU and 80C for the CPU you should be fine. I take it you have no downclocking issues,no ?

Sounds a little high to me too...

My temps are similar to eleron ones, only that my 8700M GT stays at 58/60ºC on full with OC(your idle temp :p ) after 2 hours playing Crysis.

If I undervolt the CPU, the idle temps decrease to 26ºC core 0/28ºC core 1, and full temps stay at about 53/54ºC after some time on Orthos/Prime 95.

If you could, some AS5 do wonders... believe me...

It`s the m15x design that makes it run hot.
Trust me, your temps for the m15x are pretty ok.
I`ve heard cases of 104C temps and downclocking issues. That would leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

ROFL you can cook an egg on an M15x, but that is the price you pay to have all those high performance parts (i.e., RADIATORS) in such a small package. Yes, prop it up or, preferably, get a cooling pad. Hope you got the extended warranty

p.s. keep the fans and heat sinks free of dust build-up!

i for one owned the m15x and can tell you that those where the same readings i had when i owned the system. Things i noticed about the system that kept the GPU kind of hot. the GPU seemed never to step down from the 500/799 reading in GPU-Z it always stayed there, and yes i did have the "continue refreshing this screen while GPU-Z is in the back ground" option on.

As for how the NP5793 and how it treats the GPU it does sort of a stepping process like right now im just browsing and surfing the web my temp reading is
47c GPU core clock/GPU mem clock 200/100. when i turn on a game it throttles the GPU to 500/799 and the temps go up but never got it to hit 80c while playing crysis hottest it got was around 75-77c with fans full blast.

I believe it all has to do how the m15x vbios treats the graphic card on the m15x if it did the same as the sager it would be a pretty darn good 15.4

hum, the clock stepping thing, I didn't think of that, but you got a major point there. People are trying so hard to get a driver that stops the whole down-clocking thing but i guess we fail to realize that it is saving the life of the GPU and the laptop as a whole...

Most of the times i read the temps when i owned the m15x and my NP5793 room temp is around 79-80 degrees F.

when i had both an m15x and a 5793 in my possession at the same time i did the following test..

m15x and 5793 side-by-side on flat desk surface
room temperature jacked up to 80 deg F
ran both machines under atitool for over an hour

m15x peaked at 90C and downclocked
5793 peaked at 70C and held steady

right now as i type this gpu is 40C, but i'm on battery so its running slower clocks. its usually in the 50ish range when just sitting there surfing.

I guess that my gpu is cooler then.
    33-35C idle, 68C Load.
It`s the CPU that got me worried, can max out at 70C if the room temp is bigger...

See sig for specs. Both CPU and GPU overclocked.

    CPU
Crysis bench (3 times) max 47
    Prime95 (20 minutes) max 71

    GPU
    Idle 48
Crysis bench (3 times) max 70
