Eleron, we were still updating pricing for the Glare when you checked. :) It is +$50 from the Matte to the Glare WSXGA+. It is now updated. :)

If you really need the resolution, eurocom is offering it in glare type.

Wow, your right, my dream notebook! A 5793 with 1440x900 resolution! But I'm in the US, they're a Canadian company right? I wonder how that would work out?

    Here's the link.

    http://web.eurocom.com/EC/ec_model_config1(1,189,0)

Why can't I get one of these with 1440x900 resolution from Xotic PC or Powernotebooks like I can from Eurocom?

Thanks bhattsan, but that didn't really tell me anything about what their return policy is.

    "Return Policy:
Question: What is Eurocom return policy?
Answer: To return a product to Eurocom, please contact your sales rep or email [email protected] to discuss the problem."

So I guess I'll just have to give them a call.

they are the same as any clevo retailer..they are just located in canada, so it will be a bit more of a hassle with returns and such, but I would say go for it...their prices are pretty good too.

Xotic pc and powernotebooks are sager resellers, meaning they sell only what sager gives them. Sager doesn't have the 1440 glossy as an option. Eurocom on the other hand is another clevo (the odm) reseller, and they decided to buy the 1440 glossy screens for the m57ru/np5793 and sager didn't. Thats all :)

Okay yay! New confusion.... earlier I was gonna go with the glossy screen on the 5793....
    Now there's 3 choices so...
    the second or third ?
I know the third has higher res... but WSXGA+ vs. WUXGA ... what is that ? and what's the difference ??

    WSXGA+ is a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels.
WUXGA is a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels.

Eurocom has a New York office to send orders to the US, so you'll probably send it there for repairs (if needed).

Well, I'm happy it's an LG for some reason.... Dell customers die for an LG, and hate Samsung (or is it something else ?)... so LG sounds more encouraging! :D :D
