    Hi guys!
ok so i was looking at the sager np5793 on xotic pc.com and it is really cheap! only 1400 bucks at the config i am looking at.
so my question is: how is the thermal management on that notebook? the 9800m gts isnt going to heat up extremely fast like it dose in those gateay p-fx something laptops, is it?

    just wanted to know......

    thanks,

oh, and btw....is there really a great big difference between the 9800m gts and the GT...because the gt has way more stream processors...so????

between the 9800m GTS and the 9800m GT there is an fps difference of approximately 1 frame per second in most games.

^-- really only 1 fps!? i would have thought that with 32 extra stream processors, the GT would be atleast 1/3 faster than the GTS....hmmm, guess that the gts has higher clocked sp's and memory, and all the other good stuff

the sager 5793 has one of the best thermal designs around... the hard drive gets a bit warm, and there is some noise when the fans kick in .. that's all ..

    TOP NOTCH built quality..

@ deedeeman - The cooling system in this notebook, is one of the best you will find in any laptop, so it will manage the 9800m GTS just fine :) You can take a look at the review linked to in my sig and read, that with long overdue cleaning, it manages to keep an 8800m GTX at under 75°C, thats after running 4 instances of 3DMark '06 after each other or 3 hours of playing The Witcher Demo :)

nice! it is good to know that this notebook is designed to hold a high caliber GPU like the 9800GTS.
I really hoped that i would find another notebook that has the thermal system like, or better than my current laptop (in sig), where GPU temps never go above 60c (yes, i know its an old gpu :p )and cpu never goes above 65C.....even though i never cleaned the notebook on the inside since i got it 3 years ago! (there is no need! the temps are fine...)

so...looks like i found my new laptop
