Sager NP5793 with silver trim availability

Sager NP5793 with silver trim availability:

Sager was expecting their shipment of the NP5793 with Silver Trim casing this week, however due to bad weather (heavy storm) conditions in shang hai china, the flight has been delayed. We expect the shipment to arrive later in the week and ready to ship next week. Pre-orders can be placed now.

Took them long enough (and enough weekly emails from me complaining about their advertising of the thing and not carrying it).

 

Can we ask for a specific LCD on xotic laptop?

 

Sager is not offering it at this time, we can always provide the details on the current ones being provided or PM us for further details.

Anyone have pics of the silver version? I'm trying to decide whether to go with the black/orange or silver/black options. I really like the all black option, and the orange trim seems to match some of the orange text on the keyboard. I'm wondering if the silver version has similar matching colors on the keyboard, or its also orange. The pics on XoticPC don't go into great detail of the silver version, just shows the top and one side.

Can't wait to rock out on the 5793!

As MegaBUD stated it is silver. With the lighting on it, it makes it look a little more White then Silver.

Yeah, thanks. I was couple of pictures here, but either the lighting was bad or I couldn't really like it by looking at those.
Justin, you're among the few that can do side by side photos . Please do . I don't want high resolution stuff, just want some pure clarity (some up close photos wouldn't hurt, like some inches away from the laptop, from the side, back and front and even from on top, just to see how the materials used would feel).

 

I dont know how "professional" the images will turn out but I will try to snap a couple of them side by side.

 

Take as many as you can and take your time. I'm not expecting Playboy quality (so to speak), but I would like someone with a steady hand taking pictures .

 

I can take a very good pic of my sager with the orange trim, then you could always compare it to the one with the silver trim after that...

 

Yeah, but side by side works best . I think there is a need for proper pictures of the Sager, as many people don't realize that it looks awesome (especially the orange).

Stick to the box part. Gaming laptops are not usually ugly. I mean, Alienwares are the best known gaming laptops and they aren't ugly. Sure, there's a D901C or XPS M1730 here and there, but the rest look great .

 

Fade To Black, The silver and orange are both used on the 5792/5793. We will have some personal shots of them side by side in the coming days.

 

The silver and orange are available for both the NP5792 and the NP5793.

 

That's not what I meant, in Donald's pictures the models are different .

The silver is the one with the redesigned case, while the orange is the older model (5790 -> 5792). That's what I wanted to say. I know you carry the 5793 in both silver and orange, don't worry about that.

 

I think the orange adds a certain flare while the silver just really blends in with everything.

 

The silver is not for people that want to show off or get their notebook noticed. It's for people wanting other people to think their notebook is just "normal".

In my opinion the only people that will prefer it are the ones that carry the laptop to business meetings, where orange would be a "banned" color or for people that need to have a business look.
Anyway, I can't really figure out what a gamer might like in silver.

 

Yes, the silver one is the new NP5793 case, but you will still get it if you order the NP5792 with the 8700M (instead of the 8800M)...so in that case it would be a NP5792/3...or a NP5792 1/2...but neither will make any difference as far as the case color.

 

Exactly. The next great thing from Sager would be to only send the 5793 .

 

Once all the NP5792 shells are all gone, the NP5793 shell will be all that you will see...until the next generation.

I second Fade to Black on this one, the sager 579x is dual hdd capable....sager(clevo,whatever), make it dual hdd configurable!!!!

Could you clarify whether or not the 5793 (Penryn & new cooling etc) can still be ordered with the black cover/orange stripe, or will all of the new models only be available in silver?

I know the option is still in your configuration screen, but the info on the product page is worded in a way that suggests only the silver model will be available for the updated model.

Both colors are available in 5793.
