Well, after searching around, it simply appears to be a problem with all 579X laptops and there is no fixing it, unless I missed something...?

Nonetheless, I am thinking about purchasing alternative fans to replace these ridiculously load stock ones. Can this be done? Any ideas or recommendations?

    Regards and thanks in advance!

Please excuse the bump, but does anybody have any ideas/suggestions? If not, no worries. I will eventually figure something out.

The problem with this is that even if you get a fan that takes the exact same voltage and amperage and is the same size, the sync (third yellow wire) probably wont be right and clevos have a protection that makes them shut down.

There is definitely a trick to get past this somehow, I mean if you keep it cool then the fans wont have to turn on anyway.

I have a delta blower for servers that is about an inch thick. If you do pass the normal fan control this is what I'd recommend for the GPU. There are smaller blower fans, but DONT buy a new one from china... they are complete crap... The delta wouldn't be any quieter :p just improve the cooling capability a LOT...

    Hi!
    (I`m Clevo M570tu User)

So You think that fan/fans would work quieter if temperature would be somehow lowered...?? What do you think the temperature should be or which temperature is more or less normal for 9800M GTS when browsing the web....
I have attached picture of nVidia Inspector`s review of my GPU and it`s settings.......so as you can see even if my temperature is around 40C my fan is working 100% so are there any settings that I could overdrive CLEVO`s ?

    THANX

This is not really on topic.

Obviously if you keep your GPU below 35c or so the fans will never come on. but thats not possible without other louder fans or some other type of cooling.
