I was thinking of getting the new NP9280, but I doubt I really need an i7. Isn't that mostly for photoshop, and video editing?

For the NP5797, it has a 280M, and I was thinking of getting a Core2Duo clocked at 2.9Ghz. That should be good enough to get very good framerates out of Crysis.

I have thought about ordering a Quad-Core 2.5Ghz. But I don't play GTA and there really is no need for a Quad-Core either.

Even Crysis's recommended settings is a 2.2Ghz Core2Duo. So the 2.9Core2Duo should be more than ample.

Does anyone else agree with me? Is a 2.93Ghz Core2Duo NP5797 good enough for great gaming for ModernWarfare2 and Crysis?

If there is only like 5 FPS difference with a Quad-Core, it is really worth the extra $500? I don't think so.

For 2,400K I can a NP5797 and I think that the best gaming laptop I can get. Any suggestions? Are there any known issues at all with this laptop. I want to know because I bought the Acer Aspire 8930 and am stuck with cooling problems and can't play the latest games.

the Clevo M570ETU (5797) is one of the best gaming notebooks on the market, especially for a single videocard system. :)

So it should easily game fine for every game.

And the quad-core support is great when you want to upgrade.. as prices drop.

This is a very good laptop with excellent cooling.

Are you sure about the quad-core? More and more games, included crysis, support quad-core. It will be more futureproof and the QX9300 can ble OCed to 2.9ghz. The core2duo cant be overclocked unless its an extreme processor. You can get like 200mhz with FSB OC, but, atleast for, its a little buggy cause SetFSB doesnt support Montevina.

If you have the money, get the quad-core. Maybe get a cheap core2duo now and upgrade later.
