Hello. This is my first post in the forums so please have some patience with me.
My idea for a storyline: I've ordered a Sager NP5960V (Clevo M590KE) and expect my shipment to arrive by the 21st (or 22nd depending on Swedish customs). My idea (given there is some interest for the community) is to write a couple of posts the coming days in the line of - what did I get? (a layman review), my success in installing the OS and related drivers (planning on Vista Ultimate 64), some generic feedback (using some creative 2d/3d apps like MAX – poser – Photoshop etc), using it as a work tool (Visio, Project, Office…) …

Seems interesting? Something else you think would be nice to include?

If so, for this first post comes: What did I actually order?

    Now then, why this configuration?
    Three point of note:
    1. The reason for 2GB vs 4GB RAM was basically due to price, I find it still too expensive with 2GB modules but plan on upgrading when prices get more humane…
    2. Why one 160GB disk not two? Well, I have already have two identical 160 SATA 5400 RPM that I plan to use in Raid configuration (haven’t really decided on R0 or R1 yet though) I will need to make a round-robin transfer of data to get it done but that’s ok.In the end I’ll have 2*160 in my Sager and 1*160 in my HP.
    3. Then why 2 GeForce 7950s’ when no SLI support in Vista yet? The SLI is to come (hopefully) and when it does I don’t want to open my computer up to slot in another card and SLI bridge so my choice was to buy the card to keep keep it simple when Nvidia gets their working driver out.
    That'll be all for now

wow, congrats on the new system, definitely going to turn some head with that beast. remember to keep that thing cool (with notebook stand/cooler) when using it for a long duration of time.

Tell us when you get it. :)
