    Hello All,

I am planning to buy NP6165 from reflexnotebook in Canada ...
How did you see the Laptop? ...
I have $1500 budget and I will get the following:

    •Processor: 3rd Generation Intel® Ivy Bridge Core™ i7-3610QM (2.3GHz - 3.3GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache, 45W)
    •Memory: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 2 X 4GB
•Display: 15.6" Full HD LED-Backlit Display features 95% NTSC Color Gamut in Matte Finished Surface (1920 x 1080)
•Graphics Module: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M + 1GB GDDR5 with NVIDIA Optimus Technology
•IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
•Primary Hard Drive: 60GB Intel 520 Series SATA3 Solid State Disk Drive
    •Secondary Hard Drive:750GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive
    •Optical Storage: 6X Blu-ray Reader/8X DVD±R/2.4X +DL Super-Multi Drive & Software
•Audio: High Definition audio interface, THX TruStudio Pro Sound System
    •Connectivity: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN + Bluetooth Combo Module
    •Camera: Built-in 2.0MP Megapixel Video Camera
•Battery Pack: Smart Li-ION Battery Pack
    • No Operating System
    • No Extra Warranty

It will cost me $1507 exactly after the shipping and Taxes.
I wonder if there is any thing else that I can add or modify to let it be my 3 years future Laptop?
I am a normal user and sometimes I play some games but I prefer always to have the latest technology installed in my laptop. The only thing is the shape of the laptop that is not attractive at all, I can buy Asus with same specs and better shape but it will cost me around $1800.
Any suggestions before I make the Order ???

    Thanks in advance.

Nope, seems like a very good all-rounder laptop :D

    SSD, check!
    GPU, check!
    Clevo, check!
    Gamut, check!

I would call this a good purchase :D congratulations mate!

Also, better off having a ugly laptop, which saves you 300$ instead of having a Asus which might break down or be there for the sake of attractiveness ;)

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes sure I will have an ugly shaped laptop but with a perfect specs and with a lower budget ... I don't know if Asus will change the price in the future or not :)

If you don't absolutely need the optical drive with the laptop, I would consider getting the NP9130 with a much better GPU and cooling system, and then getting the SSD later yourself. It's a little more work (or a little more money) to have to replace the optical drive, swap the SSD and reinstall / clone, but you'll have a much better system in the end.

Actually I prefer to find everything ready in the laptop, and I don't have the enough budget for that.
I agree with you that I will have a better GPU and cooling, but I am a normal user at the end and I will not play games too much. So I think NP6165 is the best choice for me. Thanks

I'm not sure how big of a difference Canadian shipping would be, but I just bought a very similar system from XoticPC for a bit less. I had a similar budget and researched far too long before biting the bullet. Here's what I came up with:

    •Processor: 3rd Generation Intel® Ivy Bridge Core™ i7-3610QM (2.3GHz - 3.3GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache, 45W)
    •Memory: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 2 X 4GB
•Display: 15.6" Full HD LED-Backlit Display features 95% NTSC Color Gamut in Matte Finished Surface (1920 x 1080)
•Graphics Module: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M + 1GB GDDR5 with NVIDIA Optimus Technology
•IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
•Primary Hard Drive: 180GB Intel 520 Series SATA3 Solid State Disk Drive
    •Secondary Hard Drive:750GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive
•Optical Storage: Combo Dual Layer SuperMulti DVDRW/CDRW Drive w/ Software
•Audio: High Definition audio interface, THX TruStudio Pro Sound System
    •Connectivity: Intel® Ultimate-N 6300 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module
    •Camera: Built-in 2.0MP Megapixel Video Camera
•Battery Pack: Smart Li-ION Battery Pack
    • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Installed (64&32-Bit CD Included) w/ Drivers & Utilities CD's + Microsoft Office Starter 2010 - Included with OS Purchase
    • No Extra Warranty

The total should be right around $1450 shipped.

Actually I agree that you should look at the 9130, if you like it's looks more than the 6165 you could configure it with a 750GB drive and use a mSATA for caching (32GB maybe) or get the hybrid drive. Also installing parts yourself, especially SSD's, is way cheaper than having the factory put it in for you. Not to mention that the 9130 will way outperform the 6165, it has a better GPU and much better cooling.

I just used this link: Reflexnotebook.ca is your Source for the Sager NP6165 (Clevo W150ERQ) in Canada

Because if I want to buy it from Amazon or Ebay you can add from %15-20 to the original price just for customs and taxes. So I think (Reflectnotebook) is the only way to go in canada, they give free shipping with %5 taxes.

Individual resellers may post on eBay.

Amazon does not list any Clevo or Sager laptops for sale.
