So I was having random MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSODs for a while, and I decided to attempt to reset Windows 10. I failed to notice that my laptop wasn’t plugged in. It died partially through the reinstallation. :(

Now I’m stuck in a reboot loop. It shows the SAGER boot screen, a split second of Windows - installing 64%, and then it resets. I got into the command prompt, opened regedit and changed a value from 1 to 3 (it was something to do with the WindowsStatus under local). Bad idea. Reboot loop remained.

So then I disassembled the laptop, inspected the RAM (it seems OK), swapped ports, used my sister’s laptop to download an ISO image to a USB. I set the NP6872 to boot from the USB, no dice. :( I tried this with and without Rufus and with different settings. I’m stuck.

I don’t need any info from this laptop, all the data isn’t important. Is there a way I can wipe the OS without being able to access the OS? I can get into the BIOS just fine.

I think Windows is partially installed and as a result I can’t do anything. Anything I can do to remove this partial install? Like resetting the BIOS?

Please help. Thank you for your time. :)

You should just be able to boot from the USB, have you changed the boot order to use the USB first?
