well this is my first sager I ordered it from reflex canada have few questions.

    1. I got the dual 6990 config without the Additional AC Adapter & Power Converter Box, now it only has the i7 960 and I planned on getting a 980x ES online and was wondering if I needed the box for proper operation on the system with the 980x.

    2. I got the standard 1yr warranty has the system pushed my funds to the limit on the laptop, can I later on upgrade the warranty to 3 years in a few months or is it only available on purchase at the time of the laptop?

This model with the 6990M in CrossfireX works well with just 1 PSU. This is even with the 980x. If you overclock you may find you need both PSU's.

You will need to check with your reseller about the lengh of time you have to upgrade your warranty. With Sager it is usually 90 days. :)

thanks for the the answers, especially regrading not needing the extra power brick, I really don't plan on ocing this beast as its already overkill for my needs :)

I read the warranty agreement on reflex canada it says I have 90 days so am golden, getting the 3 year with hassle free is well worth it IMO.

Definitely do not want to Overclock that if you're worried about heat issues, unless you have a notebook cooler as well. Other than that welcome to the Reflex/Sager family. :D
