Alright so my issue is...
I hooked up my Sager NP7338 to a Benq monitor.
I have it setup, so, when I close the lid it "Do Nothing"
but I have noticed closing the lid makes my internet connection very slow, and unable to run CS:GO and browsing the web difficult.![]()
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Please and Thanks!
Attached is what I currently have the settings at

Umgh, maybe the wifi antenna cables are lose or something and closing the screen causes one to not work or something.. Strange issue.... This is the only thing I can think of..

Yeah, I also noticed, if i leave the lid open roughly about 1/4.
The wifi seems to work just fine.
I'm going to take a shot in the dark here,
and assume that the antennas (obviously under the keyboard) gets interrupted when the screen lid is closed all the way down... very lame....
ugh.. the little things Sager/Clevo... the little things.... -

That sounds like a right assumption about the screen being all the way closed is blocking the antenna signal. If you can hook up ethernet and see if it keeps the same speed then you can say for sure.

also check your windows power options for any power saving features related to the wifi adapter. make sure its always set to high performance...

I think it's clearly something to do with the lid causing the wifi problems...

Wifi reception can be quite directional sometimes, try repositioning your router and see if that helps.

Closing the lid oughtn't matter much for reception though. But you can check this possibility by closing the lid and propping up the laptop so it's on a 90° angle and the antennas in the same top position as they would be with the lid open. If that helped; follow Meaker's suggestion. The antenna's on the router or AP aren't rotatable for appearance's sake; the signal's strongest perpendicular to the antenna and whatever you're pointing directly at will experience a dip (akin to Earth's weakened magnetic field near the Poles ... and Uruguay).
Would check jaybee83's recommendation as well and while you're there; disable "Link State Power Management" under "PCI Express" ( enable hidden settings). After all, the wifi card's on a PCIe bus and, in turn, the antennas are hooked up to the card. Also reconnect both wires to the card, only need to remove bottom cover, so it's an easy potential hiccup to rule out. -
Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it.
Its been roughly a week since I last posted, and here my conclusion.
I have been playing with the lid about a quarter and the connection has been great, no complaints.
I took Meaker's advice regarding the Access Point adjustment
(AP antenna was = vertical, and now = horizontal)
not sure if that was the trick but, I am currently getting full reception, unlike before. -

Well no matter what it was I am glad it's working now
