Does anybody have this laptop or know anything about it? I can't find any reviews or comments on it anywhere. It's built on the Clevo W765tun, if that helps. Also, any commentary on the Nvidia G105m in terms of performance and temps?

G105M sucks.
-
Excellent review....
-
Sucks in general or in comparison to real gaming cards? I'm not a gamer, so I wouldn't need anything fantastic.

this laptop just came out i believe.
i have the sager np7682, clevo 762tun
P8700 cpu, 4GB ram, 320GB 7200rpm hdd, blu ray, WSXGA+,
ill see if i can get a review up since there is not much anything on it.
what can i say i absolutely love it!, everything except the glossy case, and glossy screen but hey i can live with it.
the keyboard is everything ill every want, build quality is superb, i mean what is there to talk about.
what do you want to know? i guess the 7650 replaced the 7682 -
another good reason for the np7682 is that its a pure sexy, really!SLEEK
here are some reasons why i bought it
16:10 aspect ratio(15.4 inch)
WSXGA+ 1680x1050 pixels, this resolution was just right for on the go itty bitty screen
it was clearly(for me) better looking than other laptops.
and I can still play some team fortress 2 counter strike
clearly i could build my own computer to my specs(thank you sager)
now i think the only difference between mine and the 7650 is that it is 15.6in
16 by 9 resolution (1366x768) pixels. which i would only encourage if you watch movies all the time. -
G105? i dont see the point buying clevo notebooks if not because of its performance?

Build quality, aesthetics, and customization. Don't vendors like xotic pc and power notebooks use off-the-shelf (read:better) components? I'm looking for a 15" with a chiclet keyboard plus a number pad, and I ran across the 7650. How is the 7682 in terms of heat output?
-
Sorry to bring up an older thread, but can't seem to see anyone else talking about this model.
I am assuming the NP7650 is newer than the 7750/52, even though it has a lower code #.
Basically I'm looking for a ~1,000 dollar business laptop for a family member and since I've had a pretty good experience with my 5796 so far, I figured I might give sager another try. Comparing the NP7650 specs to similarly priced models from ASUS, Lenovo etc, it looks pretty darn good. (Obviously the graphics card isn't the best, but again it wont really be used for that)
Has anyone given this model a spin? -
I might give it a spin if there are no reviews of it.
-
If you can get your hands at a Sager NP7220, ( Clevo M722T ) a review would be nice. There aren't many 12" laptops with a built in drive and the range of customization. I'm really interested to know about the screen quality and noise level on this laptop.
Thank you -
I would also be interested in a review of this laptop.
-
I will be reviewing a number of systems within this month... so stay tuned.
-
Thanks Gophn. I am particularly interested in the build quality, screen quality, noise and how well the modest GPU performs with HD video. Some better pics would be nice too, it's hard to tell exactly what the finish looks like from the stock photos. Also, if you could dig up any hint about when it might refresh (and if it will get i5), you would be my hero.
-
Looks like this is the only thread about this model. Any one happen to get one of these? I am on the fence. I'd like to use it as a business notebook.
-
I like the keyboard.
-
-
I can however comment on build quality, compared to other notebooks I have either owned, or set up for friends/relatives... this little Clevo seems a tough little fellow, and particularly well assembled.
Noise... mine only has the Celeron 1.75Ghz CPU at the moment, but on the odd occasion the cooling fan kicks in, it is very quiet compared to many other notebooks.
Mine only has the SIS onboard graphics, rather than the Nvidia card, I am not a gamer, so haven't tried it with any games, but for watching movies, the quality is excellent.
The upgradeability of these notebooks is a real bonus. My intention is to use this notebook for photo/light video editing while away from home, and when I have upgraded the CPU and memory, it will be ideal for this purpose.

To me the best part is the keyboard, their is spacing in between the keys that I have never seen on a laptop. On other laptops I always end up hitting other keys because they are so close together. This keyboard feels like a desktop keyboard. The keyboard alone makes it perfect for business.
Performance wise, good enough for business and for entertainment such as watching movies. It does have hdmi, which I have yet to try. As for gaming, as long as the game is five years old it should run great. I believe the card can "run" all the new games on the lowest settings, but how well I don't know.
The machine is very quiet as long as there is no optical disc spinning and does not generate a lot of heat. No problem being directly on my lap, I had an old Dell Vostro for work that I had to put something between me and the laptop, it got so hot.
The only con I have is with the optical drive. Every time I pick up the machine I end grabbing the area where the drive is and it feels kind of weak. You can still pick up the machine with one hand and it feels solid with no bending or twisting, just not by the optical drive.
For reference I got the base machine and only upgraded the hard drive to 7200 rpms.
I hope this helps anyone interested in this machine for this might be the first "review" of this laptop anywhere, trust me I've looked. -
Thanks very much for your review of the system. I'm pretty much set on getting it, though I think I am going to wait for the refresh as RJTech said it would be available this month. The only difference really being a slightly better video card and the P55 chipset for Core i7. If that boosts the cost up too much I'll probably just get the current model.
By the way, do you have the 1366x768 screen or the 1600x900 one? How is the brightness on it? Is the quality good? -
I have the 1366x768. As far as I can tell the quality and brightness are fine. As long as you're looking at the screen dead on it looks very very good, but the slightest angle and it looks washed out. I know this has always been an issue with LCDs, but they are suppose to be getting better all the time. I have a 52" LCD TV that does not have this problem.
If you can wait for the refresh it would make this an awesome laptop, anything with an i7 is gonna be awesome. -
The NP7652 is now available at Sager.

To be honest, the pricing starts a bit higher than I had hoped. I'll have to see what the reseller pricing starts at.
