Hello folks. I finally ordered a new Sager gaming laptop. I did a little research and settled on LPCDigital (whom I highly recommend for their customer service among other things). I've now had the machine for about six weeks and here is my take.

    The laptop....

Upon arrival and inspection, there was zero cosmetic damage. From day one, the laptop boots up smoothly, and incredibly fast. I chose not to buy 'dead pixel' insurance and I'm glad for my choice. There were, and are still, no dead pixels. The display is fantastic. The keyboard, from the size and layout, to the responsiveness, is also great.

I love the power cord style, and the battery life seems very manageable thus far. The sound output is more than adequate. I use a wireless logitech mouse and have had zero issues with compatibility with the software or laptop. The wireless connectivity is also great. Not a single drop since purchase and initial connection.

There was no bloatware on the laptop of any kind. The speed of downloading and updating the machine was also remarkable. I have done everything from light daily computing, to intense online gaming. There have been no hiccups, and the laptop has performed admirably under all conditions.

The only thing I would point out, and it's not an issue is that the machine gets slightly warm to the touch under the heel of my hand while doing heavy gaming. It stays in check, the fan system doing it's job, and is not a problem. I have yet to test the virtual reality possibilities but when I do, I'll report back on that as well.

I really couldn't be happier with my purchase and, as with LPCDigital, I highly recommend Sager machines to anyone out there looking for a similar laptop. You won't be disappointed. The value of this laptop, combined with it's performance and the ability to do future upgrades, is simply put...great.

One tip I will give is to avoid regular ground shipping. If you happened to see and read my earlier article on my initial purchase, UPS lost the first laptop sent my way. Two weeks after the first one shipped, and it was determined to be lost, LPCDigital and Sager stepped up and sent another one out on a rush shipment and I received it 3 days later. UPS took a full month to find the first one and return it to Sager. Lesson learned. Avoid ground shipping with UPS and just pay for the faster, better shipping. It's worth it.

Thanks, and I hope this review helps anyone in the market for a new laptop. Mine is fantastic and I couldn't be happier.
