Has anyone upgraded the 8130 to the 7970m?

Its the same motherboard as the 8150, correct? And has the same cooling ability, just comes in a different shell with a lower wattage power brick?

Does anyone have any reason why it wouldn't work? Am I missing something?

    Thanks,

    ID

    **Edit**

Just got a response from Sager, looks like the notebook doesn't support anything over a 75w GPU. Sorry for opening the thread.

weeelll...."officially" it doesnt support anything over a 75w GPU, but in real life there have been enough forum members happily running a 6970M/6990M gpu in their 8130 machines after upgrading to a more powerful PSU ;)

Thanks for the input, yeah the email said that the board is only rated for 75w and could shorten the life of the notebook. Id rather not risk it, as its only a few months old. it also seems difficult to find Clevo Cards, Dell cards are everywhere, which make sense, they are much larger than clevo. I just don't see them too often.

Just need to get it sold so I can buy my 17" with a 7970m. Should have bought the 17" to begin with... now I am going to be losing a lot on this notebook. Heh
