It says 3 year labor and 1 yr parts. Does it mean after 1yr, if something goes wrong with the laptop, I have to pay for parts and the labor is free? I mean why can't they just do it 3 year warranty or 2 yr warranty instead of separating labor and parts?

Yes, that is correct. In the 2nd and 3rd year of a 3 year Labor 1 Year Parts warranty, you would have to pay for the parts and the labor would be covered under warranty.

as with all computer companies you get what you pay for. Most Sager resellers offer the 3 yr labor/1 yr parts warranty with the purchase, but they also offer a 3 yr labor/2 yr parts and 3 yr labor/3 yr parts (free shipping both ways).

Just to add: that is a standard warranty, it's not the only one. The industry average for laptops is a 1 year limited warranty and shipping is not free. If you want full 3/2 or 3/3 coverage, you can always add the 2nd or 3rd year to parts as needed. Labor always tends to be the more expensive part of a repair anyway (see: taking your car to a mechanic)

I went with the 3/3. The peace of mind is worth the extra cost. 3 years of worry-free gaming!

    very wise indeed MaXKiLLz.
here in the uk kobalt offer a standard 2 years which covers everything and an optional 3rd year for £70
also noticed another company in the uk offering the same as sager and thought it strange.
for the amount you pay for these laptops i would cover for the maximum available.
just for example my 9800GT graphics died 2 months ago and within a day it was replaced free with a 260gtx
