    Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me if the hdmi port can be used in addition to the dvi-d to output to a second 30" monitor? So, basically can this notebook drive 2x30" monitors? (2560x1600 each)

    Thanks!

According to the HDMI standard you can output up to 2560×1600 with HDMI v1.3.
So it should work i guess, but i cant say for sure because i have never tried it.

I could probably connect two extra screens to my AMD card for a total of 3 screens (Includes the notebook monitor) with Eyefinity.
Not sure how Nvidia does it.

Thanks Deagleson. I'd love to hear from one of the resuppliers on the topic. Can anyone confirm that the hdmi port is 1.3+ for example? (i presume it is) Or better yet, does anyone have 2xhigh res monitors handy that they can test with? :p

The Sager NP8150 should ship with HDMI v1.4, as it supports 3D output.
Sadly i dont own that kind of displays, so i cant help any further. D:

yes it should the 485(i'm guessing the ati is similar) supports that resolution, I don't own that laptop(yet  ) but based on the specs it should. I've been researching getting two Dell U3011s and based on the specs it should be able too. Just use one with HDMI and the other dvi

    edit:Cutting-edge integrated display support
    Dual-link DVI with HDCP12
    Max resolution: 2560x160013
    DisplayPort 1.2
    Max resolution: 2560x160013
    Multi-Stream Transport
    21.6 Gbps bandwidth
    High bit-rate audio
HDMI™ 1.4a with Stereoscopic 3D Frame Packing Format, Deep Color, xvYCC wide gamut support, and high bit-rate audio

the hdmi should support it even though it says it's only gets to 1920 since hdmi 1.3 supports it
