I've owned my Sager NP8170 for a few months now and I love it!!! Only thing I'm not a big fan of is the glossy screen, so I'd like to upgrade it. I've done a bit of research, and it seems that the AUO B173HW01 V.5 is one of the better, if not the best, matte upgrades available. I've come across 2 different models...

    B173HW01 V.5 HW0A
    B173HW01 V.5 HW1A

anybody know the differences between the two?
which one would be the right upgrade for my Sager NP8170?

Thanks in advance for the info!

If I remember correctly the 1a is leftconnection, which is the one that we use.
But you need to double check this :)

FunkElo I would call or email a company which is selling the screens to find out for sure.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that LG is of the line considered to be the worst 17.3" LCDs available. The original P170HM screen everyone hated was definitely a glossy LG LP173WF1-TLC1.

Why not source a B173HW01 V.5 like the OP?
