So I recently ordered a Sager NP8235. I left everything stock, but was wondering about the wireless card. Should I upgrade to the intel card? I don't have any kind of big shot internet, probably have 5 mb download speed. Also, could I just upgrade the card myself later on if I wanted? The stock card on this model is "Built-in 802.11 Wireless B/G/N" and I'm confused if that means it cannot be removed. Thanks!

Built-in/integrated just means it's stock equipment. If there are upgrade options from the reseller/supplier, then they can take it out and change it for you, or you can too.
It's generally advised that you upgrade the stock, basic 802.11N card. You will get better performance out of an Intel or Bigfoot upgrade; usually the stock card is a Realtek, Azurewave, or sometimes Aetheros. -
Hmm, well if I can upgrade it later on myself then I will just see how the stock performs. My wireless isn't anything fancy anyways so if I don't need some hotshot card I can save a few bucks. Thanks for the reply

I'm assuming the stock is Qualcomm or Realtek. I've had bad experiences with those cards. I recommend an Intel card.

If your current wireless card works for your needs the stock on will probably just the same. As you plan on, test it once you get it then decide from there. If you plan on using it more open spaces like school campus, hotels, etc then you could benefit from the upgrades available.

Also, if I decide to buy a better card later on, would it be simple to install myself? Would there be any software to install as well, or is it just plop it in and its good to go.

You will just need to install the drivers once the wireless card has physically been installed.

Alright, thank you! Sorry for not knowing much about computers, I've been stuck with an old dell inspiron for the past few years haha.

Not knowing is not a problem if you are willing to ask and apply the knowledge you gain, we all are ignorant of a lot of topics.
