I'm in an absolute panic. I restarted my month-old laptop and now suddenly the screen won't turn on. The keyboard lights up just fine, but the screen stays black. At one point it turned on and let me log in only to go off again once I looked away for a minute. I just got done transferring a ton of important files to this machine and I can't have it die on me. Is there any way to fix this??

I managed to get it to turn on and get to the Sager logo, but now afterwards nothing happens.

And it getting that far isn't consistent, even; now it won't turn on again.

Could be RAM. If your reseller allows it take out all sticks and just try one at a time. You can also get Memtest86 and use it to test RAM.

When it stays at the Sager logo, are you able to enter the BIOS setup? If so, check your boot options and make sure your storage drive is listed.

And when the screen is black: is the backlight on? Or is there no lighting whatsoever?

I ended up calling XoticPC's support and now I have an RMA going and I'll be sending it in later today.

For what it's worth, there's no lighting on the screen at all, and I can't get it to go to the Sager logo again (when it did, though, the screen was lit when nothing happened after the logo).
