    Sager NP8268 - Best screen replacement option?

    Could anyone provide feedback on the best screens to get as a replacement for the NP8268?

    Since I was particular about colors/contrast and viewing angles, was looking to get a IPS/PLS screen replacement in Glossy(not decided on Matte yet). What are the best options available for this particular model?

    I don't think there are any IPS or similar type screens that will work on the NP8268. The AUO 95% NTSC gamut matte screen was one of the most popular and had great feedback. They were phased out a little while ago so they may be tough to find though, AUO B156HW01 V.4 was the model number.

    Thanks for the response. So if i order a NP8268, the only option to get a better screen would be to order the one u linked and manually install?

    Right at this time there are no upgrade screen options offered by Sager or ones we have we can install for you. It would be one you install yourself.

    B156HW01 v.7 or v.4 would work on the NP8268?

    Buyer beware: some sellers will ship you a comparable panel that could not be the v4 or v7 model, despite what was advertised. Some have received the v5. Make sure that the seller is sending you exactly what they're advertising before you purchase!

    I second this. I just replaced my matte screen with a glossy version. I bought it used off ebay. I just made sure that I bought from a reputable seller.

    Usually they will have a small note in the description saying it's a compatible screen with the title. Go for one listing it as an exact panel explicitly.
