Ordered the NP8268s via Xotic a few weeks ago and the beauty arrived yesterday afternoon! I really haven't done much other than swap out the RPM drive and install a few programs, but I'm very impressed so far. Looks a LOT better in person! Pictures really don't do some of these Sager laptops justice. I know they're considered a bit more basic looking, but this thing is very nice in my opinion.
I also just ordered the 95% gamut screen and hope to install it over the next few days.

Congrats on the computer!
Those 95% screens are getting very hard to find, glad you were able to get an exact one. -

That's a lot of SSD storage
Got any games you plan to start with? I'm on to dragon age myself next.

Yeah, decided I wanted all SSDs haha. Gonna do Skyrim modded to heck and Dragon Age Inquisition.
Questions:
What's the best program for CPU temp monitoring? I ask because using CPUz Hardware, while running the intense modded minecraft, CPU temps were in the low 70s! Is this normal? Idle temps seem to average in the low 50s, high 40s.
I've noticed the CPU fan on a lot as well. I also noticed that the clock speeds were at 3.8ghz, so looks like it's turbo boosting properly.
Also, if looking at the laptop with screen open, which side is CPU and which is GPU?

Intel xtu has the most detail of any program. The gpu is on the side with the optical drive.

Low 70s under stress= normal? Not exactly, but that's not a bad thing! Low 70s is a good range to be in, especially if that's while the CPU is being stressed. I gather a more intensive application will get you around 80 C. -
I've had my CPU's hit 84c, but that was after hours of video editing and video translation keeping them humming at 98-100% utilization
I have the i4810.
So several hours of 98-100% cpu utilization and hitting 84c and stabilizing there is actually pretty good IMHO. -
In my opinion, HWINFO 64 is the best and most complete monitoring programm, and is more extansive than intel XTU
About your temp while iddling, check your Power plan, on high performance, processor is allway running at maximum clock, it's totally useless, you can down the minimum to 0%, you won't see any performance drop at all, and it will lower your temperatures ( and your consumption, and the fan noises )

The reason I like xtu is the easy graphing, does hwinfo track current tdp levels and throttle percentages and let you graph it over time?

Will it "boost" when gaming or must that be set?

No pictures, sorry. but new screen (AUO AU Optronics B156HW01 V.4) installed! I was a bit nervous, but it was a lot easier than I expected. This thing is crystal clear! I mean, wow, I'm very impressed.

Hwinfo 64 show "on demand modulation", wich is power throttling, and thermal throttling, and you can right click on any value, and select "show graph" ,to see any value over time, and you can refit the Y-axis if you want

Cool I might have to look into that and see how well it compares.
