Hello,
My Sager NP8268-S is not booting. It randomly shut down mid game and I haven't been able to get it to turn on since. When I press the power button, the CPU fan will run for about 20 seconds, but then the computer will turn off again. I have taken out ram and replaced it, but that didn't change anything. The computer is about 3 years old.
Specs:
i7-4810MQ
MXM 880m
16 GB 1600mhz ram
Any help would be appreciated.

Try booting without the GPU installed and see if you get a display.
-
Okay, I will try that when I get home from work.
-
Removing the graphics card didnt change a thing.
-
Also unplugged the CMOS battery for a bit and plugged it back in. Made one of the status lights turn on once but did the same thing.

Try taking out the CPU, see if it reacts the same way but I am suspecting CPU power circuitry failure.
-
I could try that. What exactly does power circuitry failure mean? Dead CPU?

The power circuitry for the CPU is on the motherboard, so it would be a motherboard issue.
-
So when I take it out, and it is a power circuitry issue, what should I expect to happen when I power on the laptop? Same thing?

Some different behaviour basically, does it turn itself off, does it stay on that kind of thing.
-
I have the same Laptop and same problem. When I pull the CPU nothing at all happens

Then it's likely a dead motherboard.
-
So if anyone wanted to know, DONT buy Sager. Only 2 years in and then the MB dies and they want over $650 to fix it. That's almost half of what I paid for it 2 years ago.

Laptop motherboards do tend to be the most expensive part sadly. Any machine from any manufacturer can be prone to failure so we offer extended warranties who need the certainty of extended operation. -
You can check mosfet Keys on 19v line, some times they are burn inside and laptop power line near a dc jack and battery area get 3v/5v instead 19v.
