Would any owner of this notebook run a tiny test for me?

No software would be installed. The test is opening Media Player Classic and playing a few seconds of a 2 minute video at full screen to see if the text is clear.

I have ordered notebooks 3 times since December 2013; all the notebooks sent have been hardware defective.

    Thanks.

media player classic was the best out of the bunch they released with newer versions being pants.

but the question is why not try a different media player like vlc player which has played everything ive thrown at it so far.

also which 3 notebooks have you had and where did you buy them from?

I agree with MrDJ, VLC player all the way, give it a shot and see if text looks different.

Indeed, as others have said, more likely to be a software defect.
