    I have a NP8278 which I have been using for 6 months.
Recently the keyboard have been having some frustrating problems. My 'w','g' and 'v' keys don't work sometimes. Whenever it happens I have to press one of the 3 keys really hard, only then it will work.
The 3 keys are dead simultaneously, whenever 1 of the 3 keys goes off, the other 2 keys goes off, too. And if I success in making 1 key work again, the other 2 keys will work too (for a short while and then the problem would reappear)
Can someone please help me with this ? I would be very appreciated !

Try reseating the keyboard cable, see P170SM service manual. Also, check if keys work ok in bios or bootable dos.
