Since I m from Pakistan so any help regarding Shipping cost and for Warranty will be great. Thanks

And very sorry for my bad english.

Sager all the way. Might want to consider the p770zm/9752/9772.

You won't have any warranty and shipping back to US will murder you..I would consider something like Asus G751JY or MSI GT72 as they should have worldwide warranty..

*IF* and only *IF* you can get the ASUS with warranty in your area, should you go for it. Otherwise I would suggest the P170SM-A (8278-S)

The cooling on the 8258/8268/8278 models are fantastic.

You won't have any issues keeping them cool.

The fans are also easy to get to on the bottom and easy to clean without having to take apart the laptop to do it.

MSI is a good model, but tends to overheat with the 1 fan models under loads for extended periods.

Asus I try to shy away from. I've owned 3, and each of them fried themselves just shy of 2 years from overheating.

I picked Clevo/sager specifically for 1) the cooling and 2) the ability to user-replace components (like cpu and gpu).

So what I would get, is based on warrenty and coverage. Clevo/Sager ->MSI -> Alienware -> Asus

    Thanks for replies

Shipping is the main concern for me and it will almost cost me half the laptop price.

Asus Rog 751 may be an alternative but I am more on the side of buying a sager because of my specs and budget.

Can any tell how is Np8278s overall? Is it durable ? Bcz I m planning to use it for 3 to 4 years.

For your warranty concerns. May vendors will let you send back just a defective part (depending on part). You still do have to pay for shipping but it will cost much less then sending the whole computer.

For feedback on the model you can check the NP8270 owners lounge. They are the same chassis, just the last gen CPU/GPU http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...170sm-sager-np8290-8270-owners-lounge.720323/. It has turned into the NP8278/8298 lounge as well.

Asus might be worth it IF you can get a warranty for your region.

If you go with a Sager, the NP8278 is a great system. It is durable and the cooling system on it is good. With current generation chips (4th gen Intel and 900M series NVIDIA), cooling should not be a problem for you. Still, it would be smart to get the thermal compound upgraded by the reseller when you purchase.

I never base my decision on what may go wrong, while we all know electronics can have some issues, most of the time they don't. I concern myself more on getting what I and not what may go wrong.
