Hi guys, about 3 years ago I purchased a sager but recently I caused some water damage which seems to have short circuited the motherboard. I brought it to a shop and after a couple of days they notified me that the motherboard would have to be replaced. I contacted the original shop I purchased the laptop from and they told me that sager/clevo would not sell individual motherboards to people. My question is, is there any way for me to get my hands on a motherboard or am I SOL?

    *Edit
Sorry the laptop is a Sager NP6658/Clevo W650SJ

Short of ebay or the members market if you send the machine into your reseller they should be able to use your serial number to order a part and fit it to your notebook.

Thanks Meaker, unfortunately I've already contacted my reseller and they told me that the sager/clevo factory in LA will not sell individual parts.

If sent to them for a repair though they would, not to you, but to a reseller it should not be an issue.

Through our experience Sager will not even send us a motherboard. You will probably have to send it in to Sager directly to get a replacement.

    There's RJTech, but they're a tad expensive, as usual; $345 ...

Errr ... btw, why does the title say " P177SM-A"?
