Owner of a new NP8298 and loving it. Been with Sager for almost 10 years now and keep coming back.

My issue with this model is in regards to RAID. In the manual it says you have to enable the UEFI in the BIOS, etc... But it keeps making mention of Windows 8. I followed all the steps and tried to install Windows 7 and it will not work. Is it possible to create a RAID volume with Windows 7?

RAID and UEFI are two different things. It's possible to install any modern os (xp onwards at least) to a raid volume. Windows should work under uefi if the drive is formatted correctly.

The drive will need to be a GPT type disk before you can install in UEFI, but as Meaker said, RAID is separate from UEFI. If you want a RAID array, you set that in the SATA options.
