Hey guys,
I just got a new Sager NP8651 laptop and I have a question regarding the fan settings. I want to configure the laptop so that the fans turn on the least while retaining a high CPU/GPU setting. Simply put, what is the optimal setting in your experience? I'm assuming the setting is made with the "Control Center". Otherwise, please explain.
Cheers,

Fn+Esc will bring up Clevo Control Center, click System Program, Fan Speed, Custom and adjust from there.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I've found those settings. It's set to:
Fan Start Temp: 60 degrees C.
Fan Stop Speed: 50 degrees C.
Full Fan Speed: 80%
This is the default. Are there more optimal settings that will minimize the turning on of the fans? -

well u can basically maximize both start and stop temp thresholds, just be aware that the fans will start very suddenly and go all out in an instant when u input those settings with load on GPU / CPU

I discovered something very interesting today. When I set my fan speed to automatic in the Control Center, the fans start churning away when I play games. While trying to trouble-shoot the problem I decided to reboot the laptop. After the laptop rebooted, I checked the Control Center. I noticed that nothing was selected for the Fan Speed setting. I then tried to play the same game and noticed that the laptop's fans were hardly spinning. I kept playing the game, and still, the fans were hardly spinning. I checked the CPU/GPU temperatures and they were well within their safety limits.
Now, I can't figure out how that option became unselected. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm really frustrated now, I know what needs to get done, but I just can't figure out how!! -
Well, unbelievable... I discovered how to do it by trial and error. Turns out that in order to unselect the Fan Speed option in the Control Center, you click on the custom option, this will take you to the "Fan Speed Custom" menu, click on the "Back" button, this will take you back to the Control Center. So, you should see the Fan Speed selected to Custom. Now click on the '-' (minus) key. This will unselect that option.
After doing this, my observations are that the fans turn on the least in this mode. The temperature of the CPU cores hover around 60 degrees C while doing web browsing and simple stuff like that. While doing other CPU intensive stuff, like playing games, the fan spins up a little more, and the temperature of the CPU cores hover around 85ish C. The fan noise is much more tolerable in this setting. I'm going to do some more testing tomorrow.

Some more observations I made was that for games, the default setting for the "Custom" option seems to be optimal. And, none selected seems to be best for browsing the web, email, music, videos, etc.
