Hi, I've been considering buying the 8657 and was wondering which screen to get. Just in case you don't know there are three choices: 1080p, 1080p with Gsync, and 4k. I saw one review that said the 4k screen was washed out and dim. Any help would be appreciated!

What are you using the computer for? Is it mostly for gaming or is it going to be more of a work station? If you are gaming, I'd say the 1080 w/ GSync is a good option. But if you are doing a lot of editing, then maybe the higher resolution of the 4k might be more beneficial.

The 4k screen is also a little more power hungry, the 1080p G-sync is the sweet spot for most people.

    Hi Pat and Meaker,
Thanks for your responses. I'm mostly doing video editing, some photo work and a little gaming. The games I play are a few years old so the 4k screen wouldn't be a problem. I just wonder how good is the 4k screen? Can it be compared to Dell's xps 15 IGZO 4k screen?
    Thanks Jeff

IGZO are some of the best screens, in my opinion. I still think the Sager one is good overall. I don't think I have anything showing like a side by side comparison. But usually if you can get model numbers you could find them on a site like panelook.com and then see the individual tech specs to compare.

You can run 1080p quite happily in games of course.

I don't think Sager sells the 4K IGZO screens anymore, Eurocom still have stock and do sell the Clevo P650RE model with them.... The 4K Samsung on Sager isn't bad or anything but the IGZO is better..
