So it has been a long time since I have been able to build or buy a new system. I have been playing game son my ASUS laptop for awhile and have decided I need something with much more horse power but within a price budget of $2,500. In this i have looked at what all companies have offered and nothing seems to compare to what this Sager Notebook has to offer.

Is Sager a good brand? I have been online for awhile and know the name but just don't know enough people to say yeah or ney in regards to their products.

The system just seems to have the punch needed for today's current games sporting the 9800m GTs and has a nice GPU to pair along with it. I read a ton of reviews saying it is the best 15.4" gaming system on the market and really just want to get some feedback before I pull a trigger.

For those of you who also own this system already I would love to get feedback on the screen.

15.4" (16:10) WSXGA+ (1680x1050) with Super Clear Glare Type Screen or
15.4" (16:10) WUXGA (1920x1200) with Matt Finished Type Screen

Which one looks better for indoor use or even possible outdoor use?

IMO, 1920x1200 is completely unnecessary for a 15.4" laptop. However, if you don't mind playing games at non-native resolution, then go for it.

It's hard to run Crysis at max settings with a 9800m GT or GTS at 1920x1200 :)

It isn't really the rez that I have questions about it is the finish... is the Matte better than the clear?

Build quality is really great. You can't go wrong with this although, personally, I would have considered the Asus G50vt if I knew it existed. I can't say something about the matte screen but the glossy is visible under some light, and the low brightness combined with the glossy screen makes this laptop unuseable outdoor (you can read my review :))

All I can say is that my own personal preference is matte. I wish the screens they offered were reversed - matte 1680x1050 and glossy 1920x1200. I also think 1920x1200 is just too much resolution for a 15" display. /shrug

Have to agree that 1290x1200 on a 15" is a bit much of an eye strain for me so I opped for the 1680x1050 and thus got a glossy.

Normally I would have preferred a matte display but compared to my old laptop (Zepto 6515WD which also had glossy display) Clevo's is much better so I haven't really noticed the usual drawbacks of 'glossieness'

I recently bought this machine (within the last month) and went with the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen. It looks great. I couldn't imagine the higher resolution on that size of a screen that wouldn't make your eyes bleed.
