I'm considering the Clevo M860TU (Sager NP8660) for college as a gaming/homework notebook but before I buy it can one of you 8660 owner make a video showing it "handled" so that I can see if its worth taking from class to class.
    Much Appreciated

If you are taking it from class to class, you will need the power adapter with you.

yea, and its a brick. Also w/o it, the laptop would probably die in the middle of class because of the short battery life.

Ya it's not really a full day machine. I get between 1.75-2.25 hrs pretty poor but she's pumpin serious power. You can always look into an external laptop battery but I have yet to find one with 20v and 6a.

if you are gaming with it on battery then yes it will have a short battery life but if you are just brousing or using a word document then on silen mode you should get a couple of hours on one battery.

I personally don't recommend you to buy this notebook if you expect to use it in your classes and use it to take all your notes. The ~2-2.5 hours of battery life won't help you + the weight in the backpack (it's OK in your hands) doesn't make it conveniant either. Also, the low brightness makes it hard to use it outdoor. This is definitly not made to replace something like a .Macbook or a tablet in class.

Sorry for pointing out some flaws :p. I would still recommend it if you mainly use it at home or in your room, at take it with you on one class for time to time.

Gaming will ONLY be done at home when I take it out I'm going to use word/internet I'm pretty sure I'm not going to use my laptop for every class...for example Calculus...no notebook required

The thing is.. I want a notebook with 2.6Ghz Dual ....and 512 Graphics card (to play an upcoming game called Arma 2)...I thought this laptop delivered the best deal.

It is a great unit I am in love with mine. It is a 15.4" notebook so it's just as portable as any other notebook, unless of course you find it difficult to lift a can of coke to your mouth you might find this thing heavy. In my opinion it's a slick beast but the battery life is crap, I'm hearing that win7 is achieving 3.5-4 hrs of life so maybe look into that.

For my use I don't think I will be disappointed with this laptop even after people's critics...i'll look into win7

I'll upload one tomorrow or in 2 days, depending on my work load. I don't really understand what kind of video you want...I mean, you just want to see the notebook handled, opened and closed?

Yea.. I mean I'd like to see it in its natural setting, a 360 view showing all the ports would be cool... and anything about the laptop you thought you would have liked to know before you had received it.

I was surprised that that video was on youtube because I did a search about a week ago and nothing showed up... Apparently youtube's search engine won't show anything if there is a space between NP and 8660.... unbelievable
