Anyone know where I can find an opticl drive HDD caddy for the Sager NP8662 / Clevo M860TU?

I realize I almost never use my optical drive any more, and have two externals if I do need one, so might as well throw an SSD in there as a boot drive.

    Thanks.

Can you provide a link to an optibay that would work? I just hate to buy one that doesn't specifically say it works but doesn't and be out the money.

Anyone else have any comments or suggestions? Would the NP8690 caddy work?

Well, I just bought an Optibay off eBay. Thanks for the tip. We'll see how it goes. Takes 2-4 weeks for it to arrive though, shipped from Hong Kong.

Except it's $17 shipped vs. $50 shipped at newmodeus.

Not sure about Optibay's faceplates. All of them with different faceplate's shape, while M860TU have problematic faceplate's shape for bay.

I've implemented a cheap solution from T400 caddy bay for last year, and I was working a lot with tools to make that crap fit somehow to the notebook. It was like a big freaking hole inside still. Heavens for dust.

I've did some workaround by adding the faceplate from CD to this "device" but it's not so perfect as it should be.

So if anyone know a perfect fits HDD Caddy for M860TU let me know, please.
No matter if it's even newmodeus for 50$, it will be more promising and looking nice, than self made "god help it not to burn" solution.

I asked newmodeus and they just have a flat faceplate, but said I can put my DVD drive faceplate on it. I'll let you know how it pans out when I get it.

So which optibay did you get? Did it work okay? Can you post a link?

    Thanks
