    Hey all!

I have issues with my keyboard. Numbers four and nine don't work [stopped working at the same time!]. When I press them, it makes "beep beep" sound and does not register.

I keep my keyboard pretty clean, but just in case, I opened it up and blasted it with the air duster. Still nothing.

So I popped the keyboard out and remounted the keyboard. Still nothing.

Is this somehow related to registration issue? Something fixable by reformatting? Of course... I really hate to reformat at this point, but if that's inevitable, I will do it.

If this is the problem with the keyboard itself, where can I get a replacement? I've read previous threads in this forum and other places like ebay to get the replacement, but they are all out or not selling anymore. I can get one from Sager directly, but that's fourty five dollars + shipping! I would really appreciate it if anyone... knows where I can get the replacement keyboard for this particular model.

    Thanks

Yeah, I did a full uninstall/reinstall for driver as well.

Do you get the beep feedback in BIOS as well? Getting the beep sounds like the key is registering, but if there's a problem with the cable or key matrix, that may cause the notification.

    Hi,

Yeah, I get the beep feedback in BIOS as well. I'm guessing that it's the keyboard itself... something wrong with the cable maybe?

Possibly. You can try reseating it, but if the other keys work without a hitch, there's a high probability you will need to replace the keyboard. Do you recall ever spilling anything on it?

    Hey,

No, not at all. I am paranoid with that stuff - no food, no drink near my computer... but it seems that it breaks even without spillage anyway!

Yeah, I think I might have to replace the keyboard... but it costs blasting forty five bucks from Sager. Is there any place where I can get one for cheaper? Perhaps another model keyboard that would fit in this?

    Many thanks,
