Hi
I am looking into purchasing a Sager NP8690.
What warranty would you recommend? From Sager or from Xoticpc? Pros/Cons, Any experiences would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, XoticPC passes along the Sager warranty to you, so the actual warranty is the same. XoticPC offers free phone support through them, so that's the benefit there. All things being equal (price, etc..) I would go through XoticPC. Smaller company, much more likely that you'll get better personal service through XoticPC than Sager as a large corporation.

Both Xotic and PowerNotebooks offer a basic 1-year parts, 3-year labor warranty, which is the Sager 1-year parts & labor, and then free labor costs for any repairs after the first year, but still leaves you with the cost of parts, but then we both offer the SAGER 2 or 3-year extended warranties. Typically, I recommend the actual Sager warranties to anyone who wants extended protection, as it is a full 2 or 3 years (depending on which one you purchase) of parts and labor coverage, which makes it much more valuable should you ever have to use it.

Hi Tim!
You sold me my NP8760 a couple weeks ago! I love the thing, thanks for helping me get my Sager!
PowerNotebooks.com is the way to go, they are awesome! -
You can get warranty though Xotic or through Sager when buying from Xotic, also Xotic costs less and they're a wonderful company to go through, I recommend them to everyone who wants a laptop lol

Nisjoker,
PC Torque also provides the 3 year labor and 1 year parts warranty that Xotic and Powernotebooks offer. Again, these are the same warranties that Sager itself offers EXCEPT you get an extra 2 years of labor for free when purchasing from a Reseller.
