I am really interested in getting the Sager NP8760. I am excited to take advantage of the RAID-1 options, but I do not have the money at this time to get a good HD plus an SSD (which I really want) for the RAID. My question is can I initially get a cheap 2nd HD and then later on replace it with an SSD that I buy on my own? Say a cheap 30GB one that is not offered by the xoticpc deal? Will I be able to exchange hard drive parts on the Sager NP8760 later on?

Yes lol, it's not like the HDD's are e-poxied into the bays to prevent you from upgrading.

The hard drives on the NP8760 are very easy to replace and upgrade for even a beginner. It's one of the easiest laptops to work on.
