Mmm, serial numbers.
-
Cover it! quick lol
Seriously, you should blur those out. -
-
have you tried 3dmark06 eyt? If so what did you get
-
^^sorry "eyt" = yet.
-
not yet. could u link me to the free version?
-
I'm impressed.......with your iphone4 video capabilities, it came out clear.
Clevo was nice too
-
lol thanks. it's funny that the video looks like it came out clearer than the "HDR" pictures.
-
please let us know of the sound quality (bass, treble, depth, effects...) during gaming and listening to music, using headphones.
thanks!! -
Excuse my naivety, but what use is there of serial numbers seen on someones
equipment on the web? This is a serious question by the way. -

You know your getting old when you figure it was for nefarious reasons, but you cannot for the life of it figure what those nefarious reasons could be.
oh well.... -

It would be illegal for me to list examples of those reasons; I've had a few of my posts deleted before because of that. However, I can say that it is similar to identify theft.
You should see my notepad of serial numbers that I have collected over the past years on the NBR forum alone. It allows me to keep "tabs" on people I like and dislike. It is also helps users to keep on their toes and look over their pictures before they post them on a public forum. And that I mean fully black barring the serial number instead of relying on the abysmal quality of their camera and/or photography skills to get by as blurry serial numbers are easy for me to make legible with a little help of PS (to a certain extent of course).

now that's scary.. You're scaring me.
Sunrise is right, it's better to be safe than sorry
btw nice Unboxing! It's been real long since last unboxing of sager laptop on YouTube
-
Best post ever
-
thanks for the comments guys.
i honestly never really worried about that kind of stuff either. it's like when guys post their cars up on a public forum, without blanking out their license plates. yes, it could possibly make it easier for a thief to find u, but c'mon...u drive around all day. everybody sees yur license plate. if any thief wanted anything THAT bad, he or she would do whatever it takes to obtain said item.
all i gotta say to thieves is i'm from texas. guns are legal here.
-
gota love that keyboard. I was just looking at an acer 3820tg, its keyboard looks so bad compared to this. It's like night and day!

Guns can't stop theft and damage to non-tangible possessions from lurkers thousands of kilometers outside of effective shooting range.
-
Yeah, but other than getting a legal copy of windows..
-
ive never had a chiclet-styled keboard so i was actually skeptical about it at first, but all of that was put to rest as soon as i started typing on my NP8850. the keys feel really nice, but i find myself typing a bit more accurately cuz the chiclet keyboard makes me hit the keys more accurately. i'm not sure if this is just a placebo effect.
p.s. - does the NP8850's keyboard glow in the dark? i notice the letters and numbers, on the keys, glow a bit under low light situations.
yeehaw.
theft and damage to what exactly...?
like i said, any one of u guys could come TRY to steal my laptop if u wanted. but those are the least of my worries. i'm even less worried about irrelevant "lurkers" from thousands of miles away. what could they really do? use telekenetic powers to steal my laptop?
-
It's not that they could steal your computer physically, it's what they could possibly do to your computer software over the internet or take your windows cd key. Don't worry about it though, even at 720p I couldn't make out a single number with full screen.
-
They will piratez ur keyz! Those devious hax0rs!

Glad to see you got your 8850! Even better to hear you like it!!
-
thanks, hutsady!
u were a big help in my purchasing process. -
Thanks for the video houstoned. That is a sweet little beast!
-
Wow took you long to get ur 8850... Got my G73JH Before you
... anyways , enjoy... but too bad.. no baclight keyboard
-
=/ can't believe clevo still ships laptop with the same case 3 years later after I bought my first clevo laptop.
-
The case is still a nice case IMO. Why change it if it works?
I do wish they added backlit keyboard. -
yea, i know. it took a little bit of time because xoticpc is on "high alert" right now about payments. they had some recent issues where customers were sending in fraudulent payments, so now they wait a week for payment to clear before they start building yur order.
i didn't know or i would've just used a credit card. with a credit card, they start buildin yur laptop sooner cuz there's a shorter wait time for credit card transactions to clear.
thanks
