I purchased a Sager NP9130 from XoticPC back in June. It's been a great computer... so far.

I am a bit concerned, though, as my laptop doesn't always come out of sleep/hibernate. The screen stays black, but all the lights are on so I know the computer is on. Sometimes I'll move the mouse around, and nothing will happen-- the screen stays black-- but sometimes several MINUTES later it'll just randomly come out of sleep. Sometimes it won't come out at all (I usually wait five minues) and I have to reboot it.

Any ideas on what might be causing this or where to start? I have Norton antivirus/internet security installed so I don't believe it's a virus or anything. I already reinstalled Windows 7 and it seemed to "help"-- it doesn't do it as often but still does it at least once per day or so. Before it was doing it 2-3 times per day. Any ideas? I have no clue where to start. I haven't dropped the computer or it hasn't suffered any "trauma" so there shouldn't be anything loose inside.

Thanks a lot for any help.

You can try making sure you have all Windows Updates on there and if you have a SSD make sure your firmware is updated.

Thanks for the reply! All Windows updates are installed and there is no SSD-- just a regular old hard drive...

Also for good measure I hit a few keys on the keyboard, or at least click. If it is an attached mouse the PC may not recognize it yet since USB takes a second to recognize devices. So hit the spacebar or some other key for good measure.
