Sager NP9150 7970M Drivers Missing/Cannot reinstall after Windows 8.1 update

Hi Everyone,

I have a NP9150 with a 3610QM and 7970M, and upgraded it to windows 8.1 from windows 8 this morning.
I had the Catalyst 12.9 beta drivers that worked from before the upgrade, and ever since my upgrade to windows 8.1, I cannot access the catalyst control panel at all, and my video card on the device manager page goes from 7970M to Radeon Hybrid (Blocked). I have tried installing the latest Catalyst 13.11 Beta, but that hangs during the upgrade process. I have also tried to install Catalyst 13.10 Beta 2, as well as the custom version, but it loops on installation as well. I was forced to restore point my PC every single time after a failed catalyst installation, and I have tried everything, including uninstalling the AMD Drivers and reinstalling them. In every single instance, it hangs during installation.
What is my best course of action?

Update: I was able to install catalyst 13.11 beta 1, but it hangs on reboot, anyone have any suggestions?

 

I had the exact same problem and couldnt get the drivers to work. I had to do a fresh install of Windows 8 again and install the 13.1 driver which I know works. Let me know if you manage to get it to work with Windows 8.1.

 

It was the same for me, but after removing both intel and amd drivers from control panel, then run driver fusion premium for both intel and amd, then install intel again and then catalyst, everything was fine..

 

Glad that you got it working. Which Intel Driver version and which AMD driver version did you use ?

 

I'm currently using Intel 3304 driver(beta driver) and Catalyst 13.11 beta, leekm's version(enduro fix version, not the mod version since that was only for win 8)
