I am thinking about buying a Sager NP9150 and am trying to decide whether it is worth it to upgrade to the 7970. I would like to get the best performance for the money with this laptop.
My main concern, is that I have read that the 7970 has had problems with its technology that switches between integrated and dedicated graphics. I will need this computer to last at least a couple hours in power saver mode for class.
Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thank You!

The 7970M battery life is fine. You could probably squeeze around 4 hours with it. It'll be the same as the 675M in power saver anyway.
the 7970M performance is much better than the 675M and the driver support for the 7970M isn't too terribly bad.
the main concern for you is that you'll be in a long line for the laptop. -
LOL. Thanks for the quick reply. I really just needed someone to reassure me. I don't have a problem waiting for a while, it will be that much sweeter when it finally arrives.

I saw in a review for the alienware m17x that the performance was worse when using the 7970 with integrated on then with it completely off.

I was wondering if this is only the case with the m17x or if this happens with the Sager as well? And if this happens is there a way to completely turn off the integrated on the Sager like there is on the m17x.
Again thanks for the help. -
Apparently all evidence points to the Clevos/Sagers not having the same problem, and no, you can't disable the integrated on Sager.

Thanks for the info. +rep

Edit: I just read your review. nevermind. -
Not with synthetic benchmarks, about how many FPS more are people seeing with HD7970M than 675M?
Games like BF3, Deus Ex, Metro 2033, Crysis 2 I think would be good benchmarks.
