Had this laptop for just about a year and it has been doing everything great. Playing games at max setting, editing videos with very little rendering time and playing HD videos smoothly. But when I put the lid down to put the laptop to sleep and put it back up again the display went green and fuzzy. I've tried updating the Intel HD Display driver and updating the graphics card driver but that didnt help. When I connect it to an external monitor the display is fine on the monitor. Same when I connect it to a TV using an HDMI cable. When the laptop boots up and I press F2 to go to the setup screen the display is still green and fuzzy.

Is there anyway to fix this problem??? Please help. :(

I think the cable is broken which connects the display to the mainboard. I would suggest to contact your reseller.

EDIT: Changes the effect, if you change the angle of the display? This would be a typical sign for this defect.

Yeah very likely, I assume it's like this in the bios too?

Have you tried moving the display up and down to see if it goes away or if the issue changes at all?

I tried shaking the laptop up and down. Moving the display forward and back and nothing changes at all.

Probably the cable itself. Hopefully that's all it is, as that would be the most affordable fix. If it ends up being the panel, that will be more costly (unless you're under warranty).

Well, this sucks looks like I'll have to send the laptop in. Its still under warranty. It was going to expire in 3 days so I guess this problem couldn't have come at a better time.

Two weeks without a laptop tho.. :(

If comfortable, open up the computer and check the cable where the screen connects to the motherboard. Unseat and reseat it too.

Its my guess that something is loose and just needs to be firmly plugged back in. Something as you said but I'm not comfortable doing that myself. A guy that runs a computer repair store in my area says he can do that for me but it will cost. But if that's not the problem then I'm out some money lol.

So either that or send it in for warranty repair as you mentioned before. If he does it for cheap it may be worth doing instead of not having the computer during the service time. Time vs Money.....

Well, I sent the laptop to Sager and got it repaired. But had to send an email to be provided with an explanation on what the problem was or what they did. Don't know why I didn't receive some sort of invoice but whatever.

They replaced the LCD cable. Seems it was a minor problem I guess.
