Hey everyone,
First, my apologies if this is a duplicate post (I searched and didn't find a post about this issue). I have a Seagate 600 SSD (480GB model), and when I try running it in the primary SSD/HDD slot on my Sager NP9150, the system doesn't recognize it. However, if I move it to the Optical bay with my HDD caddy, it recognizes it and boots without issue (It's never worked in the primary slot). I understand that the Optical Bay is a SATA-II port, but the drive is SATA-III compatible, so I'm a little lost as to what it could be.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix that I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any help!
EDIT: I should mention that the original drive that came with the machine (750GB Seagate 5400rpm drive) works fine in the primary slot.

Have you updated the drive firmware and your system bios?

According to the Seagate website, there's no updated firmware for my drive, and I updated my system to Sager's .17 BIOS (I think that's the latest that I saw). Is there a later one?
Thanks in advance! -

Looks like you have the latest, it really could just be an odd incompatibility unfortunately.
