Yesterday I received my NP9150 Special Edition and for some reason I'm not getting good scores on 3DMark 11. The scores I'm getting are:
Score: 5862
Graphics: 5726
Physics: 7738
Combined: 4948
I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers and I have the Nvidia power management to max performance. I have a couple of questions:
1. Are these good scores at stock speeds on the GTX 680m?
2. Does my Sager NP9150 have a defective GPU?
3. Did my 95% NTSC Color Gamut Screen affected the scores?
4. Do these scores effect actual gameplay?
5. I have nVidia inspector, What is the recommended overclock speed settings?
I tried out throttlestop 5.0 and it did not work for me. Do any of you have any suggestions?

telling us you full spec will help. cpu/ram/ssd or standard drive.
did the lappy come pre installed or did you load operating system and update drivers
is the nvidia driver the latest WHQL or BETA or one your supplier loaded.
my last reading was P6195 with below spec. check out the benchmark survey link in sig below to see more scores.
also download vantage and 3dmark in sig below to run other benchmarks.
ive never overclocked and never will so cant advise on that but if youve never done it before be carefull as you can void your warranty if you damage hardware.

Are you running the steam version of 3dmark 11? If you are try the direct download from futuremark.com.

can you answer some of my questions if you want advice from people

Because the scores reflect GPU performance, you will likely see a decrease in gaming performance.
Try using Nv inspector to set a +135 overclock on the core, then benchmark again. Also, please link the benchmark. -

In my experience, the vbios my 680m shipped with was older and seemed to have lower performance. I had to flash a newer vbios in order to get better performance. Flashing a new vbios can be risky so I'd rather keep this as a last resort (with replacement being the last).
My current vbios: 80.04.33.00.10
It is a custom vbios that I got from TechInferno but there should not be much difference between it and a stock .33 vbios aside from unlocked clocks.
At stock clocks on my vbios, I get about 6100. This is also stock voltage.

I tried 3DMark 11 with the Windows power options set to balance and the nvidia power option to max performance and I got a higher score for stock performance and the +135 MHz core increase that was set by nvidia inspector.
My new stock score is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P6037 3DMarks.
The new +135 MHz score is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P6788 3DMarks.
These performance increases came from the latest Nvidia beta drivers. The vbios version my gtx 680m has is 80.04.29.00.01. -
I have really good results with the 3DMark with stock speeds on the GTX680M. Here are the results NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx. I have the Windows 7 power options to balance, max performance in Nvidia Control Panel and using the latest beta drivers. I'm now thinking that 3DMark 11 throttles the GTX680m to lower speeds on purpose.

Not on other machines so that would be surprising.

I have the exact same problem as you OP. Stock scores around 5800 (5900 if im lucky) on the Special Edition.
I also tried setting my Windows setting to Balanced and I got a score increase to between 6000 and 6100 (stock clock). At the moment, I have my Fn+Esc set as Performance, Windows set as Balanced, and NVIDIA Panel 3dmark11 set as Prefer/Favor Performance.
Anyone know why this is the case? For gaming should I leave the Windows set for Balanced?

I emailed Sager yesterday about the GTX 680m under-performing in 3DMark 11 and they responded earlier to today and they tested the 3DMark 11 on their machine with the same GPU but with the i7-3820qm cpu and they got a score of 6059. They told me to run 3Dmark Vantage and the GTX 680m got slightly higher score than the average score according to Notebook / Laptop Reviews and News - NotebookCheck.net.

The score depends on the set turbo clocks.
