I am looking to purchase a laptop... I have about a $3000 budget, and I have made the choice to go with the Sager NP9150 or wait, my problem is I don’t need a laptop right now the one I have will hold me over for about another 5-6 months. So my question is: when does Sager usually release there new chassis? Is it usually at the beginning of the year or even early spring? If so should I wait to see what’s next from them? Will there be any big changes?
But if they don’t usually update every year than I am going to go ahead and purchase the NP9150. I’m not familiar with how often Sager updates so any insight would be appreciated.
Things that would make the wait worth it to me would be... On top of waiting for newer chips from Intel and NVidia. Thunderbolt, higher res screen, getting rid of glossy plastic around screen. Do you think Sager might change any of these or any other major changes that might happen.

They usually change the model as the CPU changes. When Ivy Bridge came out they changed it, when Sandy Bridge came out before that they changed it, so when Haswell comes out they will probably change it again. There usually isnt any change to how they look though. They may add a few ports or change some around but the overall look will stay the same.

Both Intel and Clevo usually announce new products after Cebit shows in March. I think if you want to wait, check with Sager again on April.
