    Hi,

I've decided to purchase the Sager NP9150-S but have hit a snag.

Bit of background: I've recently moved to the USA for several months (student) and my bank accounts are all registered in my home country. I therefore have an issue with the billing address being different to the shipping address.

Has anyone else on the forum had this issue and how did they resolve it?

I've considered getting a prepaid Visa card and registering it to my current USA address. Would this work?

Also, I would like as much protection as I can when purchasing the laptop, seeing as how its quite an expense ($2050).

    Any advice would be great!

p.s. Does anyone have any recommendations as to the best palce to buy the laptop. I was going to go direct with Sager.

    Thanks,

Some places will ship to a different address other than the billing address. I do it on Amazon all the time. I'd contact some of the resellers and see if they will ship to a different address.

Also buying from a retailer is usually a little bit cheaper than going directly from Sager.

I recently ran into this issue because my billing address is nearly 4 hours away from my shipping address. All I had to do was call my bank as speak to the debit card department. Then just tell them you're ordering a laptop an need to make a note that you're shipping it to your shipping address, then tell them your shipping address. Usually they will understand, because the reseller will call them and confirm the right shipping address. Then you should be sent to the next phase of production

It's an annoying little step but it's required (at least by xoticpc)

I'm hoping this will work in my case, the only difference being my bank is in another country :(

Unfortuneatly we dont accept international cards, only US or Canada bank ones. You can use a bank wire transfer to pay though.

I don't see why the prepaid visa idea wouldn't work. Hutsady could answer that better than I though.

Pre paid cards work, you can usually find them at a local bank or alot of stores.

It would have to be a US one though most likely.

A lot of banks offer direct money transfer online or in the branch should be certain so long as you have all the details and be pretty quick, the fee should not be huge either.
