Hi, my backlighting for the keyboard I have broke about a week ago. I tried reconnectiing the LED strip and it is properly connected. The hotkey driver works and is updated. I even tried a different keyboard and the backlighting still doesnt work. I am really stumped on what I should do to make it work again.

Have you tried re-installing the hotkey software?

Did it just stop working one day on you or do you know of a possible reason why it stopped working like an update of Windows or anything that changed. It is always possible it just went out since that can happen to any part in a computer. Does is light up during boot up before it gets into Windows?

The latest hotkey driver did not work for me and shut off my keyboard lights. This was a huge problem for me to where I had to reinstall Windows 7. I think hotkey needs windows .net framework 3.5 and 4. Either way what I did was install windows and then the optional updates for .net 3.5 and 4. Then I installed the older hotkey driver as the current one sucks and does not work right as some others have said. I have uploaded the windows 7 and 8 drivers that worked for me. Note that I have windows 7 so I haven't tried out the windows 8 drivers.

Hotkey Drivers: Hotkey Windows 7 and 8.zip

    Good Luck

There is a custom set of software designed by forum members, you could try that.

The keyboard does not light up at all anymore. It started off not being able to turn green, then after the next boot all the colors wouldn't work. This all started after I installed a new wireless card for my computer and had to remove the keyboard multiple times since the card was not working properly.

Well in that case, it might not be a software problem anymore, you might have pulled out a cable or something. But when my hotkey software was not working, the keyboard would not light up at all either. I would look at a some take apart videos of your computer to see if anyone talks about where the keyboard lighting stuff is. Or just send it back to where you bought it to ask them to fix it?

Lol you should have mentioned that yes. Likely just you not putting the cable back in right. Hopefully it is not damaged.
