Hey guys. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, not really that tech savvy so I was hoping someone could help me out.

Roughly 2 months ago I was out of my house for several weeks and brought my sager 9170 with me. Prior to leaving I really had no issues with connectivity. When I got back home for some reason I could not connect to my home network through the ethernet cable that had been working perfectly fine when I left. I thought it may have been an issue with the cable but I plugged it into my other laptop and it worked fine so I'm certain that isn't the issue. I also cannot connect wirelessly whereas, again, my other laptop can do so easily. After a few days of power cycling it randomly started working again and I have no idea why. Everything worked perfectly for a month and a half until today when the issue has came back up. I keep randomly losing my connection for periods of time. At first i just replugged my ethernet cord and it seemed to fix it coincidentally or not. I've disconnected about 5 times today and the latest disconnects have not been fixable so easily. I just restarted my PC and when it booted up it connected fine for about 20 seconds, dced again for about 20, then randomly came back up and has been fine for the past 5 minutes or so. Although I am connected via ethernet wireless looks like its still broken because I see no connections under my network icon where I normally would automatically connect to my homes wireless and clicking the refresh button does nothing, its not picking up any of the wireless networks around me for some reason.

Using the troubleshoot feature on everything I can produces nothing. On my old laptop I would troubleshoot and it would "reset the wireless adapter" and fix everything but troubleshooting does not fix the problem here.

I have no idea what the issue is, it seems rather strange to me.I'm guessing its a hardware thing judging from how inconsistent and weird it has been but I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the connector itself, are any pins looking different to the others? Feel free to take a pic so we can look.
