    Sager NP9261 sound

    How is the sound on the Sager NP9261. Some people say that it's sh**y, but most reviews claim that it's pretty good.

    I would say that the sound is average with the speakers. A bit weak but not real bad. I think if you take some time it could be made a lot better than it is. If you use headphones or have 5.1 surround the output is awesome.

    you just need to do the RealTek audio optimizations to make it sound much better:

    The sound quality is good, its need some configuration within the RealTek software.
    Set the Environment option to Carpeted Hallway. And if you want even more quality, set the Equalizer to Soft (as in Soft Rock)

    is not so much the quality even though you can do some to make it better than it is. To me it has more to do with the fact that it is not as loud as I would like when the volume is up all the way. I also do not like the fact that the speakers are tied to together. On mine both speakers on the left are the same as are the right. I might have missed something on that. But that is one of the few things in the sound that I did play with even if only briefly.
