I have been looking at Alienware first the m15x, then the m17x but that is going to be ages away and Alienware's disclosure policy sucks hard....I have been looking now at the sager D900c "QUAD" core and wondered if anyone in the UK does this laptop or if anyone can recommend me the D900c from another manufacturer with this performance in the UK.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Are you interested only in uk or other contries from Europe are also ok?

I know rockdirect.co.uk, but it is really expensive (around 3200 euros. Other companies offer it cheper (like overam.fr, deviltach.de or pcw.fr xxodd.nl)

Read this long topic, there are lots of information in it
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=91510

and this one as well has many links

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/search.php?searchid=2768702

Sorry there are so many (I was looking for resellers for a few days, than I gave up, 2.5 k euros is too much for me, I will wait fo the C90p from Asus at half price), but I do not remember all companies. Also the D900C is sold under different names like odin or mysn in gemrany and netherlands.

For a clear image on the resellers in Europe I sugges t you to read all those links and after 1 day you can get a clear image on the resellers and their prices.

    Best regards,

    Pasloeatis

Some of this European sellers offer also collect and return warranty so there is nothing to pay if something gets broken becasue of normal use.

Recently also www.kobaltcomputers.co.uk offers the Clevo D01C (N9262). Right now they are the best offer in Europe not only in UK.

Except from Rockdirect, http://www.dpctech.net/ and Kobaltcomputers I have no knowledge of others resellers of D901C in Uk. A few of the links I gave were european (France, Germany). If you try the sites, check at contact us the adress.

I believe these are from Europe:
    http://www.nicenotebook.fr/index.php...id=81&Itemid=1
    http://deviltech.de/
    http://www.pcw.fr/index.html?lmd=39514.781771
    http://www.dpctech.net/
    xxodd.nl
    mysn.de
overam.fr (from Italy even the site is in French)
    http://www.mysn.eu/

I compared the offers from all these and found that the best offer for me was the kobaltcomputers.

Yes they do. I think all of them deliver outsides of there countries. At least deviltech.de and pcw.fr were offering also the collect and return warranty for 1 year or for 3 years for a extra 200 euros. Also eurocom.com which is in Canada is selling tax free. This means that they take out the Canadian VAT and you pay only the UK VAT. It is a good deal, but the eurocom prices seemed to me a little too high. I do not know how is the warranty handle by eurocom.

deviltech is a bit expensive, for roughly the same specs as my sig it came out to £300 more expensive without the delivery and only 1 year warrenty
